On Tuesday, March 29, the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress (CSPC) featured a virtual event entitled “Maintaining Innovation Leadership and Protecting National Security through Intellectual Property.” Speakers included AMS TRADE Managing Partner, Deanna Tanner Okun, and Executive Director of Innovation Alliance, Brian A. Pomper, who explored the relationship between IP policies, U.S. and global leadership, national security, and the 2021 Executive Order on Promoting Competition and subsequent DOJ policy statements on standard-essential patents (SEPs).
