Hartman to Present on ITCTLA Trade Secrets Panel
Joshua Hartman, partner at AMS, will be a presenter on a trade secrets panel for the 2021 International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association (“ITCTLA”) Spring Meeting. This virtual program takes place tomorrow, May 12, from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Josh has extensive experience representing companies in IP and unfair competition disputes in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC”) and in civil litigation before U.S. district courts. Recently, Josh was on the AMS team that helped LG secure a $1.8 billion settlement paid by South Korean battery maker SK Innovation (“SKI”) in a Section 337 investigation concerning lithium ion battery trade secret misappropriation. He is an active member of ITCTLA, having served on its Executive Committee and chaired its membership and editorial committees.
The Trade Secrets and Other Non-Patent Investigations panel will also include Stephanie L. Roberts from Morgan Lewis and Monisha Deka from the Office of Unfair Import Investigations. It will be moderated by P. Andrew Riley of Mei & Mark.
Opening remarks will be from U.S. ITC Chairman Jason E. Kearns and ITCTLA President Paul Goulet. There will also be a fireside chat with the Honorable Kara Stoll of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, an Administrative Law Judge (“ALJ”) panel with all five U.S. ITC ALJs, and a panel on ITC Dockets and Developments with Secretary to the Commission Lisa R. Barton and Docket Services Supervisory Attorney Katherine M. Hiner.
The event will close with a virtual Happy Hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Attendees will be able to craft their own cocktails at home with interactive instruction and tips led by an award-winning bartender.
