Summer Associate Program

AMS TRADE is now accepting 2023 Summer Associate applications, and we will give priority consideration to all applications received before December 1. Please submit your application by filling out this form and responding to the email with the requested application materials.

Training the Next Generation of Attorneys

While many of our attorneys joined the firm having previously served in such agencies as the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce, we are also committed to developing and nurturing talent from within and from the ground up. Our Summer Program is designed to provide law students with meaningful experience in international trade and intellectual property law and practice. The success of our program is manifest in the talented graduates who have chosen to stay with us and launch their careers at our firm.

Over the course of 10 weeks, you will:

1. GAIN EXPERIENCE

Quickly gain hands-on experience by working on projects for real cases.

2. LEARN FROM A MENTOR

Be paired with a Partner who will be your mentor as you navigate the firm.

3. MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Publish articles in collaboration with professional organizations.

Our Summer Program also provides an opportunity to form collegial and close working relationships with our firmwide professionals. As a boutique practice, we get to know each other quickly – and we believe in investing the time to get to know you. In addition to working directly with partners and associates on an array of interesting legal projects and trade law assignments, we believe in fun and celebration of our accomplishments by participating in happy hours, outings to Nationals baseball games, and other festive get-togethers.
